...and of course it did not win. It even did not get a mention. So I guess I should stick to doing animations on commercial videos for industry exhibitions.

Or perhaps I just don't give a flying f*ck about what the jury says...

yep... sounds better.

Finally - after spending quite some time on it during the last two years, I finished this animated music video for Rainer Bärensprung (www.baerensprung.de):

I still feel a bit like a mother who just has squeezed her baby into the world.

Its a while since I did it and it was just an insignificant wire removal shot (1:18). Nonetheless it is silly enough to post it.

Somehow they did not manage to upload it 16:9, but however - Karpatenhund "zusammen verschwinden" shot on cold day in Berlin. I stitched the endless wall in the background in post. Not my kind of music but obviously also not their kind of video :-P

Just in case I never mentioned it (and of course I didn't since I hardly get the idea to write my journal while my life is amazing enough to avoid it) - this is a video I co-directed (with the fabulous Warwick) and composited at home. Having stared at it within Fusion 5 for such a long time I still have - half a year later - big problems seeing anything but the mistakes I made. Nonetheless the other people involved liked it, so the project was in some way a success, though it never got any airplay. The singer told me that it feels like just a little more than two minutes, which I guess I one of the best compliments to get for a work.

Or if you prefer to watch it on Youtube's site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkT25PtRuQg

I guess I am getting addicted to collage stuff. Perhaps this is just a result of my amazing inability to draw or paint things myself.

This is Bunny. Put a copy of bunny into your profile and help him in his megalomanic attempt to rule the world.

(Okay... this might be creepy as a single entry for a long time. But nonetheless his eyes completly convinced me)

My music in my environment! [Oct. 27th, 2006|04:56 pm]

Well - not exactly my own music. But at least music created by people I know more or less in person.

Today while jogging it was the first time that more than half of the 46 minutes of music I listened to was not just done by someone far away but by people I already talked to and exchanged ideas with. Considering that normally there are just Tori Amos or David Bowie tracks or something of that caliber it sort of gave me the idea, that there still is a chance to make a difference to one's surroundings. But maybe it just seems that way and my mighty mp3-stick is just not powerful enough to sense that it is already too late for everything.
